Who Is Not Eligible to Apply for the SINP?
You are not eligible to apply to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program if:
- You are currently claiming refugee status in Canada
- You are residing in Canada or your home country without legal status
- You have been issued a removal order by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)
- You are banned from entering Canada
What Happens After I Submit My Application?
- If your application is incomplete, you will be notified and required to submit a new application
- If your application is complete, it will move forward for assessment. You may be asked to submit additional documents and will be informed of the deadline to provide them
- If you respond with all required documents, the SINP will continue processing your file. If you fail to submit the necessary information, your application will be declined
What Should I Do If My Personal Information Changes After Receiving the SINP Nomination?
If your personal details change after receiving the SINP Nomination Certificate, you may request a revision.
Common reasons for revision include:
- IRCC requests a correction or extension of the nomination certificate
- You receive a new job offer, either from the same or a different employer
- You or your accompanying family members receive new passports
- Your nomination is about to expire or has expired, and you need more time to submit your permanent residency application
- You update your Express Entry profile number and Job Seeker Validation Code
Processing Time for Revisions: 1 to 2 weeks from the date SINP receives your request.
Note: If there is a change in your family composition after your nomination is approved, SINP will not amend the certificate to add new dependents. Only the principal applicant is listed on the certificate, and there is no legal requirement to include dependents on the nomination certificate.
