Updates NOC 2021 system for Express Entry<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

On November 16, 2022, <\/span>IRCC announced<\/span><\/a> the transition to the new 2021 version of the <\/span>N<\/span><\/a>ational Occupation Classification<\/span> (NOC<\/span><\/a>) replacing the current 2016 NOC system (NOC 2016). The NOC system is used to classify the different skilled occupations when applying to work in Canada or when calculating the Express Entry score.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This change has a direct impact on the candidates who created the <\/span>Express Entry Scoring <\/span>profile and have not received the invitation to apply yet. These candidates will need to update their profiles under the new version.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The current NOC 2016 classifies work experience by NOC skill levels O, A, B, C, D. As of November 16, 2022, IRRC will begin to apply the new Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities (TEER) system.<\/span><\/p>\n
